NAME
       sleep - suspend execution for an interval

SYNOPSIS
       subroutine sleep (itime)

DESCRIPTION
       _S_l_e_e_p  causes  the  calling  process to be suspended for _i_t_i_m_e seconds.
       The actual time can be up to 1 second less than _i_t_i_m_e due to  granular‐
       ity in system timekeeping.
